About this piece

This attractive Early 20th Century Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Parson's Daughter", HN 564, was designed by Harry Tittensor, ( Burslem 1887 - 1942 ). Trained at the Burslem School of Art, Harry joined Royal Doulton as an apprentice aged 13 and remained with the company until 1925. Brightly painted and unusual in that it is hollow fired, this figurine was issued from 1923 to 1949. The base fully marked in black with title, The Parson's Daughter HN 564. in script,  together with the Royal Doulton backstamp of the period and the barely legible impressed number 341. Clearly an early example, this figurine, listed by Charlton as being 24.10 cm. / 9.50 inches in height, in fact stands 26.42 cm. /  10.40 inches high.
