Description

A scarce example of a Mid 19th Century Antique Victorian Gaudy Welsh Pottery Footed Bowl of large size, decorated in "Pagoda" pattern, in a typical palette of Iron Red, Cobalt Blue and Green. The body and foot both well moulded, the bowl attractively painted both inside and out and, other than for a faint star hairline to the underside of the base and some minor paint losses consistent with everyday use, the whole in good condition, with no cracks, chips or restoration. For comparable examples, cf. South, "Gaudy Welsh ~ A Visual Reference Book ~ Vol. I ~ 1997"
