Description

An early example of this charming Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Little Lady Make Believe" ~ HN 1870, designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and issued from 1938 to 1949. Beautifully modelled in a red and blue colourway, this fine piece is fully marked on the underside, with the Royal Doulton backstamp of the period in black, together with the title "Little Lady Make Believe", Rd.No.830775, { for 1938 }, and the number 12, indicating the year of production to be 1939. Also marked with the series number, HN 1870 in underglaze green, together with the Painter's Monogram, "t" . Finally, there is an impressed four figure mark, difficult to decipher, but which may be either a Model Number or  the Date Code for 1939.
