A fine and colourful Late 19th Century Antique Italian Victorian Maiolica Vase and Cover of imposing size and in excellent condition which appears originally to have been retailed by Liberty's, London's renowned luxury department store, whose label is affixed to the underside of the piece. Clearly inspired by it's Renaissance forebears, the decoration with it's central panel depicting two angelic putti within a mountainous landscape, satyr mask handles and scrolling floral motifs, all in a traditional palette, comes together to form a pleasingly balanced and harmonious composition.  An excellent display centrepiece for the imaginative Interior Decorator.
