This lively Mid / Late 20th Century Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Broken Lance" ~ HN 2041, was designed by leading Doulton artist Margaret "Peggy" Davies and was issued from 1949 to 1975. Brightly decorated in a blue, red and yellow colourway, the underside fully marked with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period in green, plus title, The Broken Lance, H.N. 2041., COPR.1948, DOULTON AND CO. LIMITED., Rd.No.855287, { for 1948 }, Rd.No. 26360, Rd.No. 5772, Rd.No. 133/48, and in script, Painter's Monogram, X, for Roy Booth, listed as working at Doulton.Height ~ 22.20 cm. / 8.75 inches ~ Width ~ 19.70 cm. / 7.75 inches ~ Depth ~ 10.20 cm. / 4.00 inches ~ Year ~ Issued 1949 - 1975.
