A good Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Mason's Ironstone "Hydra" Jug by C.J. Mason & Co. of Lane Delph, Staffordshire. Attractively decorated in a typical "Japan" pattern, the handle formed as a serpent, the base with blue printed Maker's mark reading MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA. A good decorative example of the period.
