This attractive Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Character Figurine, "The Tailor" ~ HN 2174 was designed by leading Doulton artist Mary Nicoll, and was issued from 1956 to 1959. The underside fully marked in black with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, the title, "The Tailor", H.N. 2174, COPR 1955, DOULTON & CO LIMITED., Rd. No., 878038, { for 1955 }, Rd. No. 34547, Rd. No. 7310, and Rd. No. 448/55, impressed Model Number and numeral 9, Painter's Monogram O, for Owen Reed, listed as working at Doulton to Circa 1965.
