This lovely Late 20th Century English Porcelain Cabinet Dish bears all of the hallmarks of Reg Johnson's outstanding talent as a ceramics painter "par excellence". Superbly decorated with a spray of the orchid, Trichocentrum Tigrinum, the border heavily gilded, this fine piece offers the perfect introduction to the works of this talented Staffordshire artist, examples of whose work may now be viewed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. This example signed on the obverse, Reginald Johnson, the reverse signed Trichocentrum Tigrinum Orchids by Studio Potter Reginald Johnson.
