The underside of this piece with green printed Crown Staffordshire backstamp, DESIGNED AND MODELLED BY J.T. Jones, { signature in script }, this in green, what could be a pattern or model number in brown, { this illegible }, and a sgrafitto M. Highly evocative of the period, this series of "Children at Play" is sure to arouse Happy Memories in all those who grew up in the 1930's and '40's.
