A fine quality Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Brass Mounted Bookslide in well figured Coromandel Wood, bearing the stamped Maker's Plaque of W.H. Tooke of Liverpool, who is recorded as having a retail outlet in Church Street from Circa 1845 to the late 19th Century. The brass mounts finely engraved with arabesques and inlaid with jasper ware plaques, each depicting an image derived from antiquity, { One with old hairlines }.
