This attractive Late 20th Century English Porcelain Pin Tray / Dish, modelled as a moulded picture frame, and inset with a lovely painting of a bouquet of roses, bears all of the hallmarks of Reg Johnson's outstanding talent as a ceramics painter "par excellence"', and offers the perfect introduction to the works of this talented Staffordshire artist, examples of whose work may now be viewed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. One of a pair presently available, each listed and priced separately here, the dish is signed on the obverse, Reg Johnson, the reverse bearing the handwritten inscription in puce, ORIGINAL PAINTING by Reg Johnson.
