A scarce, large and fine Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Friendly Society Brass Pole Head, from the villages of Ansford and Ditcheat in North East Somerset. The reverse engraved with two sets of initials, viz, SH, in all probability those of the erstwhile owner. This would originally have been mounted on a pole or stave, typically some four to six feet in length.
