A fine Mid / Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Steel Chestnut Roaster with an attractive baluster turned stained beech handle. The pierced cover raised by depressing the brass button mounted at the top of the pan, this simple but effective mechanism when operated enabling the hot chestnuts to be safely removed without injury.
