Description

This delightful Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Dorcas" ~ HN 1558, decorated in a purple colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1933 to 1952. Fully marked on the underside in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, this alongside the numeral 16, indicating that this figurine was potted in 1943, the title, "Dorcas", Rd No 769308, { for 1931 }, in black, HN 1558, plus in black, Painter's Monogram, possibly NP for Norman Parton, listed as working at Doulton from 1937 to 1976.
