Wares printed in this pattern with reserves containing printed and enamelled arms, including those of Liverpool Corporation bearing the motto "Deus Nobis Haec Otia Fecit", { God hath given us this tranquillity } were supplied to the Corporation by the Herculaneum Pottery during the early years of the 19th Century. cf. Coysh & Henrywood, "The Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery 1780 - 1880 Vol II". The reverse with impressed Maker's Mark, viz. HERCULANEUM 3.
