An amusing and colourful Late 18th Century Antique English Georgian Pearlware "Dutch" Jug / Pitcher of quart capacity, the naive polychrome decoration gaily painted, the two larger reserves depicting avian scenes, the smaller pair with flowers and an old manor house. Lovely soft colours. No Maker's mark, but the base with remains of an old inventory label, now partly illegible, which reads, "EARLY LIVERPOOL SADLER + GREEN FIRST INVEN.. 1756 TRANSFER ...." . cf.
